Description
Serenade in Blue by Tim Shorten
My dad was a fan of the big bands – Duke Ellington; Count Basie, Ella et al – and my mum loved Nat King Cole and the post-war musicals, so I guess that what we now call ‘The Great American Songbook’ was hardwired in my psyche more or less from the start. Now, as I work in my studio for long periods, increasingly I find myself listening to the music my parents loved. The title Serenade in Blue is taken from a big-band standard, originally recorded by Glenn Miller and subsequently by many of the big names of jazz.
The print has been registered with the Fine Art Trade Guild as an ArtSure approved Limited-Edition. Each print is signed and numbered by Tim Shorten.
