From an original painting by David Makinson. ‘Lion Heart’ measures 46 x 36cm as has been registered with the Fine Art Trade Guild as a limited edition of 20 prints.

This was painted as a metaphor for those who go throughout their entire lives living with complex congenital heart problems. It takes enormous courage and resolve to deal with so much physical uncertainty and the prospect of multiple complex surgeries.

All profits David makes from the sale of his art will be donated to The Somerville Foundation, a UK charity that supports adults with life-long congenital heart problems.
