Giclee Printing & Scanning
JAK Fine Art Printing is commited to providing an excellent service with high quality. You can find more information on the giclee printing materials and our scanning procedure by scrolling down this page.
We scan your art in-house and make adjustments to the digital version to ensure that the scan, and subsequent prints, are as close as possible to the original. Our scan prices include an A4 colour-proof which states the materials used. On approval, two versions of the digital images are supplied, via a download link, – a high resolution TIFF that is the same size as the original and a smaller JPEG version that can be used for websites and social media. Any print orders will also commence once approval has been received.
We keep a copy of the digital scan so you can order prints as and when they are needed (no minimum order requirement), if no further orders for prints or scans are received within two years the files we have are deleted. If you wish to have your artwork removed from our system before the two years, please contact us and the files will be removed.
It is recommended that the files be stored on an external hard-drive so that you always have a back-up copy should your computer need to be replaced. The TIFF files can be quite large and as a result devices such as tablets and old computers may freeze when trying to view them.
Our giclee prints are produced using Canon ‘lucia’ 12 colour, pigment inks and a Canon iPF6100 24″ inkjet printer. Both inks and printer are approved by the Fine Art Trade Guild and JAK Fine Art Printing is registered with the Guild as an approved printer (Artsure), more information is available on the Fine Art Trade Guild website.
We have the commonly used sizes in our price list, if you have a size not listed please contact us.
