Christmas is fast approaching, but not fast enough as far as our Daughter is concerned. Only one day of snow so far, but this was soon washed away by the rather more frequent rain, fortunately my gardening skills are extremely poor so I am just as happy having a marsh / swamp as I am having a meadow.

This last year has gone really well, I have been fortunate to meet loads of new artists, each having their own unique style and subject matter. Some of whom were fortunate enough to have a violin / guitar recital as my Daughter was keen to practise with her new instruments. When possible, and I have permission to do so, I like to add their website to the gallery page, so have a look. The art I get to work with does inspire me to have a go, so a potential new year resolution could be on the horizon. A big Thank you to all of our customers over the past year and I look forward to working with you in the New Year.

A few new projects to get launched in the New Year, I will post more details about these nearer the time but I hope to offer customers some really interesting options.

low moon over high town.

Newcastle based artist, Ben Holland, who creates pen and ink drawings of buildings in Newcastle, has recently launched his website called low moon over high town. This collection of works will be on exhibit at the ‘central perk’ coffee shop from 25th November until 22nd January.

In addition, three drawings were submitted to the ‘Biscuit factory’ , a Newcastle based art gallery, for the young artist of the year. All three drawings have been approved for selection. So good luck to Ben.

The website for the Grand Prix Studio has now been launched. Fans of Formula 1 racing will share in the passion of oil on canvas artist Kevin Lawler. Original paintings and limited edition giclee prints can be ordered direct from the artists website.

Two new pictures by the artist Howard Gardener, have been added to our gallery page. You can see these pictures by clicking here. These picures, entitled ‘Castleford Ladies’ and ‘ Multiverse’ combine colour with intricately detailed pictures, produced by lots of dots applied with a technical pen.

We are now listed on the UK art map website, operated by the National Open Arts competition.
